Strong New Contract
Nearly
a thousand workers represented by the United Food and Commercial
Workers Union (UFCW) Local 1142 voted overwhelmingly to ratify a
new contract with Smithfield Foods at the company’s John Morrell
Plant in Sioux City, Iowa.
