Nestle Purina Petcare workers ratify 2 year deal with company

Members of Local 271 in Crete, Nebraska have ratified a 2 year deal with the company after rejecting the company’s first offer.

The deal maintains affordable health care without plan design changes. The company’s initial offer (which was rejected by workers) was written in a way that allowed the company to charge whatever they wanted for health care without recourse.

In addition, workers won significant pension improvements as well as wage increases of 3.5 percent each year of the two-year agreement. In addition, the 2nd and 3rd shift’s night shift premium will increase to $15.10 upon ratification.
